This Summer, two members of Carleton’s philosophy community will be running some very exciting special courses!
Our lecturer Philippe Antoine-Hoyeck will be teaching a mini-enrichment course titled Science Fiction and Philosophy, where he will teach students from grades 8-11 about philosophy through the lens of different works of science fiction👽. See a description of the course here.
Our Professor Dr. Kyla Bruff will be teaching a course titled What Does it Mean to Live a Good Life? Six Philosophical Approaches as part of Carleton’s Lifelong Learning program for all interested adults! The course will cover approaches to the good life from thinkers as old as Plato and as recent as Martha Nussbaum, with many in-between! See a description of the course here.
It always a please to see our community members involved in teaching philosophy beyond the scope of traditional undergraduate and graduate university courses!
