The Department of Philosophy is pleased to announce that undergraduate student Mikayla Brown has been selected as the recipient of the Phyllis Mary Putt Bursary for 2024. This bursary, valued at $4,000, is awarded annually to an outstanding undergraduate female student majoring in Philosophy at Carleton University.

The Phyllis Mary Putt Bursary was established in 2010 in loving memory of Phyllis Mary Putt, in recognition of her years of service to Carleton University, through the generous estate of her husband, Cyril Harold Putt. This prestigious award is presented on the recommendation of the Chair of the Department of Philosophy, and recognizes students who have demonstrated not only academic excellence but also a positive contribution to university life.

Congratulations, Mikayla, on this well-deserved honor!
