Welcoming Fabian Mauricio: International Student Researcher Joins the Department
The Department of Philosophy at Carleton University is pleased to announce that we will be welcoming a new undergraduate researcher, Fabian Mauricio, from Colombia this coming Winter 2026 term. Fabian has been awarded a prestigious Emerging Leaders in the Americas Program (ELAP) scholarship, funded by Global Affairs Canada.
From January to May 2026, Fabian will join the Department of Philosophy to work on an independent research project titled “Ethics of the Relation with Oneself and Others in the Transgender Process” which will be conducted under the supervision of Professor Christine Koggel.
We are excited to support this project and look forward to the unique perspectives our ELAP scholar will bring to the department.
