Group Learning Support
- Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS): “The Centre for Student Academic Support (CSAS) offers free, course-specific study sessions known as Peer Assisted Study Sessions (PASS), […] which provides a welcoming and supportive environment where students work through course content and learn transferable study skills that they can apply to other courses.”
- PMC Groups: the PMC hosts a number of support, social and study groups open to all PMC-registered students. This term’s offerings include:
- Social Communication Group, which supports students with disabilities in nurturing social skills and making friends on campus.
- PMC: Procrastination Workshop: learn about the black holes of procrastination and strategies to get out of them.
- PMC: Anxiety Group, where students can learn new strategies to manage and change their relationship with anxiety.
Individual Learning Support
- Individual Learning Support Session at CSAS: “Learning Support Sessions are available to any Carleton student who is looking to develop skills that can help them achieve academic success. Learning Support Sessions is a person-centred service focused on fostering effective learning strategies.”
- Individual Learning Strategy (LS) and Assistive Technology (AT) support at the PMC: Speak to your PMC Coordinator for a referral!
Writing & Research Supports
- Writing Services: If you are having trouble understanding what an assignment is asking you to do, are interesting in learning more about editing and proofreading your assignments, or have received feedback on your assignment(s), from your professor(s) that your writing is unclear, CSAS writing services may be able to help!
