PLEASE NOTE: We mail out our transcripts via Canada Post, any transcript requested to be mailed out will be held in the Registrar’s Office until the ongoing labour disruption is complete. If you need your transcript quicker and cannot pick it up from the Registrar’s Office, you can follow the courier instructions on this page below. The courier must be paid for by the student.

Disclaimers

  • We do not fax any transcripts to students or third-parties.
  • Transcripts will not be issued if the student has an outstanding balance with the University.

All Transcripts

How do I request a transcript (official or unofficial)?

  • Requests can be submitted online through Carleton Central. Please see our how-to video above for detailed instructions. If you require assistance to access Carleton Central, please contact Information Technology Services (ITS) by phone at 613-520-3700 or email at its.service.desk@carleton.ca.
  • A single copy of a transcript can be provided at the Registrar’s Office counter during normal working hours.

How do I Interpret my transcript?

  • The transcript legend provides an explanation for each of the notations found on your transcript.

Unofficial Transcripts

What are my delivery options for unofficial transcripts?

  • Unofficial transcripts will be sent to your Carleton or Alumni email address within 2 working days.

Official Transcripts

What are my delivery options for official transcripts?

  • Official physical transcript ordering has resumed. Please allow for up to 1 week processing time on newly-placed requests. Mailing times vary. In person, pick-up and courier options are available. Unofficial emailed transcripts remain available (produced daily).
  • You can pick up your transcript at the Registrar’s Office within 2-4 working days. Third-party pick-up requires that you have designated a Third-Party. Photo identification is required for you or your third party.
  • You can have your document sent by regular mail by completing the “Mail To” section on the Carleton Central request form.
  • Courier delivery arrangements for pickup and payment must be made by you through the following process:
    1. Indicate on your request form that you intend to have your transcript picked up by a courier
    2. Include your phone number and email on your request
    3. Wait for a confirmation email stating your documents are ready for pick up by courier
    4. Make your arrangements for pickup and payment with your courier company
    5. If documentation is not ready to be picked up because the courier arrangements have been made in advance your courier will contact you.
    6. Carleton will not release documents to the courier before the courier has received payment arrangements.
