Samy Mahmoud, Viktor Toth, and co-authors won the award for the best paper presented at the conference at the International Conference on Traffic Engineering (ICTE’17), part of the 2nd World Congress on Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering in Barcelona, Spain.
The paper by Hussain Al-Harthei , Viktor Toth, Atef Garib, and Samy Mahmoud is entitled Efficient Real-time Allocation of Patrol Cars in Traffic Management. It is scheduled to appear in the the inaugural issue of a new journal on Traffic Engineering.
The paper is part of a major research project on “smart traffic technology and traffic management IT systems” that Prof. Mahmoud is leading.
