SCE projects related to monitoring dementia patients have been in the news lately.

The projects are led by Frank-Dietrich Knoefel and Rafik Goubran and focus on the applications of sensors and analytics for measuring mobility and memory with a specific focus on Dementia
and Mild Cognitive Impairment patients. Some of the projects are being carried out in collaboration with the Bruyère Research Institute. The SCE research team includes Bruce Wallace and Philippe Masson
(Undergraduate Research Assistant). The projects have been covered in the Ottawa Citizen, in an article entitled What whack-a-mole has taught researchers about dementia, by CTV news in a segment about Bruyère’s Life-Changing Day, by CBC Radio, and by the Carleton University Newsroom.
