Speaker: Dr. André L. Brandão, Communications Research Centre Canada

Bio: André L. Brandão has been working on telecommunications as an engineer since 1985 when he started with embedded digital signal processing within digital central telephone exchanges. From there on he passed through many different areas in the field including semiconductor design, antennas, software development, project management, systems engineering, regulatory and standards development to name a few. He holds a master’s degree in digital signal processing and a Ph.D. degree in Wireless cellular systems. He is currently enrolled as a part-time student in physics which is an object of his passion. André presently works for the Canadian Federal Government at the Communications Research Centre (CRC) in Ottawa, Canada
