Irem Bor-Yaliniz is a part-time PhD student supervised by Prof. Halim Yanikomeroglu has been recently announced among the “2019 Rising Stars in Networking and Communications”.
Irem is the only Canadian among the 40 women who have appeared in the Rising Stars list since its inception in 2016. This recognition is an achievement for both Canada and Carleton. Not only it shows Carleton’s strength in the ICT (information and communications technologies) research & innovation in the international level, it also demonstrates Carleton’s strong presence in women in engineering.
