Dr. Jim Green, a Systems and Computer Engineering professor is pioneering the use of non-contact sensors in the NICU to enhance the monitoring of infants’ vital signs. In collaboration with CHEO, he developed pressure-sensitive mats and video sensors to reduce false alarms and minimize disruptions to the babies’ environment.
