Working as an IT Recruiter – Business Analyst at Phirelight Security Solutions Inc., no two days are the same. I’m part of the Shared Services Group team, which is responsible for administering the sales, marketing, recruiting, and business development departments of the company. While my main focus is recruiting for opportunities with our government clients, I am fortunate do work on a variety of projects. If there is one way I can say my degree prepared me for my professional career, it is captured in one word: adaptability. Communication Studies taught me how to look at messages in a variety of ways. My work requires me to wear multiple hats daily and analyze and create a multitude of texts regularly. I credit the practical knowledge I gained through my degree to my ability to shift from researching and creating marketing collateral to writing proposals.
