More Information

Politics has changed. So has political journalism.

Twenty years ago, almost everything the public knew about politics – the contested exercise of power – they learned from the news media.

Today, there are multitudes of publics getting information about politics from a multitude of sources. Not all of those sources and all of that information is as focused on fact as journalism has traditionally tried to be.

Whatever the news media were in the late 20th century, they aren’t anymore.

What is the role of political journalism in a very different world? And how do we as educators prepare the next generation of journalists to navigate that world?

Join us in a conversation about the future of political journalism and how we as educators better teach it to the next generation of students.
