John Geddes


John Geddes is an editor-at-large at Maclean’s, where he was previously Ottawa bureau chief, and has written extensively for the magazine on politics, and also about art. He holds degrees from University of Toronto and Western University, and is a past winner of the National Magazine Award, the Ottawa Book Award and the Martin Wise Goodman Canadian Nieman Fellowship at Harvard University. John grew up in a small mining town in Northwestern Ontario. He lives in Ottawa with his wife, the CBC journalist Joanne Chianello.
