Derek Antoine

Biography

Derek Antoine holds a Ph.D. from the School of Journalism and Communication and has been an instructor in the faculty since 2014. Derek teaches courses on media and activism, political communication, persuasion and propaganda. His research looks at discourses of Indigenous activism, primarily on Mi’kma’ki territory. Outside of his academics, Derek spends his days focused on housing policy as Senior Manager with CMHC.
