Biography
After completing his Honors Bachelor of Social Work at York University, Patrick is excited to enter the world of Journalism and enter the Master of Journalism Program at Carleton University. In his social work academic journey, he has taken many elective courses in child and youth care. Mentorship is an element that is important to him and this has supported his desire to advocate for youth and marginalized communities. As part of the BIPOC community, he is passionate about creating content for BIPOC/Queer youth and creating travelling content.
With a curiosity to learn, Patrick is encouraged to complete his Masters of Journalism because of his passion for ensuring the marginalized population is given content with representation and resources relevant to their own unique journeys. He is most excited about living in a new city and seeing all that Ottawa has to offer. In addition, he is excited to learn about the fundamentals of journalism, and using creativity to make it his own.
In his spare time, he enjoys doing things that are new experiences. He likes to travel, try new foods, and is currently learning different phrases from different languages.
Patrick is looking forward to achieving the goal of creating and publishing the work that drives his passion.
