Ian McRae

Biography

Ian graduated from Carleton University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Communication and Media Studies and a minor in Philosophy. A communications professional with experience in the environmental and public transit sectors, Ian is passionate about breaking down technical information and making it easier to understand, using engaging written and visual content to captivate audiences, tell a story, and drive positive change.

Ian’s key areas of interest include communications in the context of conservation and climate change, urban development and infrastructure, and the use of gamification as an engagement tool.

Outside of work, Ian loves to explore new places while biking and hiking, snowboarding in the winter, golfing in the summer, and spending time with family and friends throughout.
