When Michel Cormier retired from his post as Radio-Canada’s executive director, News and Current Affairs in 2018, he left behind a highly respected career at CBC. From his early days as a Moncton television news reporter, he moved to television documentary producer, parliamentary reporter in Ottawa, Quebec National Assembly bureau chief and foreign correspondent in Moscow, Paris and Beijing.
