Stephan Struve

Biography

Stephan Struve obtained his Master’s degree at the School of Communication at Simon Fraser University, exploring the role of the media in hyping genomic science and focusing on the public understanding of genetic science. For his doctoral dissertation Stephan examines the materiality of digital health technologies. Specifically, he is interested in tracing the relationship between deep histories of fluids, disease, and contemporary digital media infrastructures. Current projects include a deep history of the nuclear architecture, the relationship between water and computation, and the primacy of cosmic noise.
