Alumni Memory: Elizabeth Keith, BJ ’17

Midweek Mems’

Some of my best j-school memories come from my fourth year radio class doing Midweek! We were a smaller class so it was all hands on deck every week. This was in 2016 when Donald Trump was first elected president and I will never forget the feeling of walking into the radio studio with 3 hours of sleep after staying up to watch the results come in and hustling to get the news out from every angle, including having one of our reporters filing from upstate New York. I got to host that day and no matter what side you were on politically, saying the words “Donald Trump is officially the next president of the United States” live on air really makes you feel like you’re a part of something big. Those Wednesdays were wild and wonderful and I’ll never forget them! – Elizabeth Keith, BJ ’17
