Dr. Deborah Conners featured in Carleton International Newsletter

Dr. Deborah Conners was recently featured in the Carleton International Newsletter for her contribution to Nepalese activism. In the spring of 2020, Dr. Conners and her third-year sociology class were preparing to go to Nepal when Covid-19 caused the class to shift their approach. The class pivoted to online learning and students created a guidebook to record their insights on violence against women in Nepal. Dr. Conners later worked with students on a qualitative research project about gender norms and inequalities in Nepal, and how to best support Nepalese women.
