It’s a proud moment as The Royal Society of Canada has welcomed our Biology Prof. Kifah Gharzeddin to the College of New Scholars.

Kifah Gharzeddin is a crop breeder with focus on genetically improving legumes yield to enhance food production in the face of poverty. Dr. Gharzeddin’s research has contributed to food access and legume crops diversity in Syria. His career features highly productive partnerships with research institutes and government agencies disseminating environmental agricultural practices worldwide including regions with challenging climate. Pressing on under conditions of war, Gharzeddin’s contribution for farmers has been widely recognized.
