In collaboration with entrepreneur Michael Cowpland, Biggar co-founded NuvoBio, a biotech company focused on turning these peptides into real-world treatments. With the company’s headquarters set to move to Carleton’s campus in 2024, Biggar’s goal is to move their research from the lab to clinical trials, aiming for FDA approval by 2027. “We’re motivated to translate scientific discovery into practical healthcare solutions,” says Biggar, as his team works toward making medications more accessible and affordable for patients in need.
