Adler is a graduate professional school offering a variety of academic programs which prepare students to provide services in the areas of mental health and wellbeing.

Adler’s Master of Psychology in Clinical Psychology (MPsy-PSY) prepares students for registration as a Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists of Ontario in clinical and counselling practice and the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario as a Registered Psychotherapist. This two-year, 75-credit degree stream provides students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to prepare them to offer psychological services in a variety of diagnostic, therapeutic, and assessment settings. This stream is a fully residential program with 100% of the instruction in-person at the downtown Toronto campus.

Adler’s Master of Psychology in Psychotherapy and Counselling (MPsy-PTH) prepares students for registration with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario as a Registered Psychotherapist. It is a two-year, 75-credit, blended program with several in-person residencies throughout the program and the remainder conducted virtually.

Unique to the Adler Master of Psychology degree, applicants whose undergraduate degree is not a four-year honours in psychology may utilize the Transitional Equivalency Program to qualify for full admission to either of the MPsy degree program paths.

Adler’s Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology educates and prepares students for registration as Psychologists with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. The minimum three-year, 57-credit doctoral program is consistent with the standards outlined by the Canadian Psychological Association for professional degrees. The program follows the Practitioner-Scholar Model, emphasizing the integration of theory and practice, self-reflective capacity, collaborative professional and inter-professional relationships, and commitment to social equality and social justice. Graduates are prepared for careers as professional psychologists.
