Dr. Catherine Khordoc began the appointment of Deputy Provost (Academic Operations and Planning) on Jan. 1, 2022. In this role, she will lead the development of the university’s operating budget, faculty affairs and academic labour relations, as well as the university’s continued strategic planning.
Since 2009, Catherine has served in a number of leadership roles at Carleton, notably Associate Dean (Student Affairs) and Interim Dean in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, as well as Chair of the Department of French. She has also contributed to several committees at departmental, faculty and university levels and was recently elected as a member of Carleton’s Board of Governors.
Catherine is a Full Professor who is cross-appointed in the Department of French and the School of Indigenous and Canadian Studies. She is also affiliated with the Institute for Comparative Studies in Literature, Art and Culture, and the Migration and Diaspora Studies programs.
