David Richler is a filmmaker and PhD candidate in Cultural Mediations at Carleton University. He has been teaching in the Film Studies department since 2014, including courses on Chinese cinemas and “The Film Industry.”
His doctoral research is concerned with the category of World Cinema and the transnational contexts of film’s global circulation, focusing specifically on the role played by international film festivals and the impact of digital media.
