The International Student Services Office can match you with a mentor that will help you navigate the university, build your social network, and provide you with academic coaching.
Mentors are upper year students (undergraduate and graduate) that volunteer their time to assist new international students during their transition to university life at Carleton. Mentors are great sources of information and your link to support systems on campus, and will connect with you prior to your arrival in Canada! You can communicate with your mentor over e-mail (make sure to set up your Carleton e-mail account) and stay in regular contact to help answer your questions and concerns about studying at Carleton and living in Ottawa.
