Get To Know the ISSO: Conversation Sessions

Meet the friendly staff and volunteers of the International Student Services Office and learn our tips for academic success and living in Canada. Be sure to stick around for our trivia games, and a chance to win prizes! Sessions will be held on January 7 at 8:30 am EST, January 19 at 3 pm EST, and January 27 at 1 pm EST.

Health Insurance Q&A

If you are an international student residing in Canada, you must have the University Health Insurance Plan. If you have questions about coverage, providers, or anything health insurance-related, please join our ‘Health Insurance Q&A’, including representatives from the ISSO, the Carleton University Students’ Association (CUSA), and the Graduate Students’ Association (GSA). Sessions will be held on January 14 at 3 pm EST and January 26 at 9 am EST.

Preparing For Winter Workshop

You’ve heard about it, but are you prepared for winter weather? Join us for this informative session where you can learn more about winter terminology, weather conditions, and how to dress for the season. This workshop takes place January 18 at 10:30 am EST.

Managing Your Studies From Abroad

Are you an international student studying from overseas? From time zones differences to your local COVID-19 situation, you may be studying under different circumstances from students living in Canada. This workshop is a space for you to learn about academic, social, and wellness resources available to help you succeed during the Winter 2021 term. This workshop takes place on January 20 at 9:30 am EST.
