Student Testimonials
- Campus Life
-
“An abundance of opportunities present such as clubs and societies being a massive part of the student life and making friends. Specific club/society socials on Wednesdays where the club would meet up and have a themed social event and go out that night at the university Student Union club. So, plenty of opportunity to experience the student life.” – Winter 2023, Bachelor of Global and International Studies
- Academic Environment
-
“The university provides you with a set list of courses for exchange students. Very similar to Carleton in the expectations. I would say it’s a little bit easier as the course loads are not as heavy, but the marking system is quite different. You will receive what you think are really low grades but a 70% is an A+ and a 60% is basically an A-.” – Winter 2023, Bachelor of Global and International Studies
- Housing Experience
-
“Lived in a student accommodation mostly with international students. The university gives you a very helpful guide on what to do. I would stick with university provided accommodations as they’re safe and guaranteed.” – Winter 2023, Bachelor of Global and International Studies
- Setting Up Phone and Bank Account
-
“No bank account just used a no exchange fee credit card such as the American Express card provided by Scotiabank and the Visa card provided by HomeTrust. Cell phone I walked over to the mall and went to Vodaphone and got an around 16$ Canadian plan for 30GB data a month 5G with sim card.” – Winter 2023, Bachelor of Global and International Studies
