“I would say that the services were the same as they were at Carleton. You are mostly in contact with the international office at Vienna. They have their own groups. The really big one in Vienna is ERASMUS. They have events for the week and if you have a card with them you get discounts at events. If you stick with them you will have a good time. “Bank account was quite easy, you just need basic information. Cell phone is also quite easy and cheap too. You can get a data plan from the supermarket called Hofer and the plan is called HOT. You get around 40 GB of data for 9.90 Euro.” – Full Year 2023/2024, Bachelor of International Business

“I did not set up a bank account, I was rather using cash, home credit card, and a travel credit card. Activating your cell phone is quite simple here and there is a place (EDUCOM) that provides great prices for students to get sim cards where you can pay monthly (no contract).” – Fall 2023, Bachelor of Commerce

“I would say if you are in Germany, use the Deutschbahn pass and travel all over Germany using the regional trains. Cheap and gets you to were you need to go. In terms of getting other places. “Purchasing the Winen Linen transport student pass is essential as it gives you access to all their public transportation (bus, metro, tram) for your time here. For visiting other close by countries, FlixBus seems to have the best prices and is super convenient. Ryanair has cheap prices for countries such as London and Copenhagen (super worth seeing). All of the typical tourist spots in Vienna are worth seeing, there is a night in October called “the nigh in the museum” where you get access to all of the museums in the city for one ticket.” – Fall 2023, Bachelor of Commerce
