The Zelikovitz Centre for Jewish Studies presents a public lecture by

Rabbi Yehoshua Grunstein, The Straus-Amiel Institute

February 14, 2011, 11:30 am-2:30 pm, Southam Hall 501

Rabbi Grunstein’s presentation will survey Jewish law as it relates to gender relations. He will argue that in Orthodox Judaism, men and women are not considered to be equal. On the contrary, women are viewed as superior to men. He will provide a number of examples from rabbinic and legal/Halachic texts that demonstrate that Judaism has always possessed a higher regard for women.
