David Shentow was a tremendous friend to all of us at the Zelikovitz Centre and so generous in speaking to our students at great personal cost. His courage in telling his story, in standing against Holocaust denial and in honouring the victims of the Shoah inspired all of us. We are truly delighted that he is being honoured, and especially in this way, with a park that will bring others joy and celebrate life. As Jews we often say, “May his memory be for a blessing”, David Shentow’s memory is for a blessing. Our lives are richer for having known him.
