No Assessment (NA)

We want to reassure you that a No Assessment (NA) notation is not a cause for concern. It simply means that you were not assessed because you have not yet completed 5.5 credits. This is a normal outcome for students, especially if you’re still early in your studies. You can continue in your program as usual, and this has no impact on your upcoming course registration. That said, it’s always a good idea to be aware of the minimum CGPA requirements for the decision of Eligible to Continue (EC), which are listed below.

Academic Advising Centre

We encourage students to contact the Academic Advising Centre if you have questions about your academic standing or academic progress.

The Centre provides the following services:

Academic Advising assists with understanding the Academic Continuation Evaluation decision and providing additional support and guidance.
In-person, virtual or email advising.
Referrals to other academic support services such as the Centre for Student Academic Support, FITA, PMC, and others.
Seminars in reading the audit and rules and regulations.

Minimum CGPA Requirements for Degree Students

Information about the minimum CGPA requirements for Degree Students can be found in Section 3.2.6 of the Undergraduate Calendar.

Please note that some degree programs have additional requirements to be Eligible to Continue (EC), these are listed in Section 3.2.7 of the Undergraduate Calendar.

Registration

For registration information, please review the Registration Website. If you need help with your registration, Carleton University also offers registration assistance through the Student Registration Assistance Team at certain times of the year to support the fall and winter registration periods.

myAudit

myAudit: Reading your Audit
It is important that you become familiar with your audit and review it on a regular basis. We encourage you to review your audit after every registration period to ensure that you are on track for graduation! The Academic Advising Centre has a ‘How to read your audit’ webpage that includes a ‘myAudit: Introduction’ video tutorial.

myAudit: Working with Planned Courses and What-If Audits
The online video tutorials will guide you through the process of running an audit with Planned Courses and/or a What-If audit for program changes. This tool allows you to see how Planned Courses would affect your academic requirements in your current or a potential new program.

ASR: Academic Status Report
The Academic Status Report (ASR) is a companion tool for the academic audit that displays real-time information regarding your degree program status in a user-friendly format. The ASR is designed to highlight common University graduation requirements and identify potential barriers or areas of concern.

Awards and Financial Aid

The Awards and Financial Aid Office administers various awards, scholarships, and government loan programs (e.g., OSAP). To find out more about available financial aid options, including scholarships and bursaries, Indigenous and disability-specific student awards, and the Student Work-Study Program, or to attend a budgeting and personal finance workshop, visit Awards and Financial Aid Office.
