Registration for the 11th annual CGC conference is open online. Join us for two days March 3-4 featuring 60+ presenters on 16 panels as we Play/Rewind with some exciting graduate research.

This year the conference invites explorations in communication that look backward to move forward. This theme will examine a broad range of topics, such as a rethink of history or performance studies, the politics of play, digital activism, emergent technologies, or digital and social media.

In addition to two days of excellent presentations and discussion, Dr. Mia Consalvo will provide the School of Journalism and Communication’s 8th Annual Attallah Lecture. Dr. Consalvo is Canada Research Chair in Game Studies and Design at Concordia University and the author of Cheating: Gaining Advantage in Video Games, and is also the President of the Digital Games Research Association. Please join us March 3rd at 6 pm for her talk.
