Congratulations to our 2021 graduates from all of us at the Journalism program in the School of Journalism and Communication!

It was 75 years ago, in the shadow of the Second World War, when Carleton University’s new School of Journalism produced its first graduates. That moment transformed journalism in this country. In the decades since, thousands have completed their degrees at Canada’s original journalism school. But we can say with absolute confidence that none of those thousands of people have experienced a graduating year quite like yours. And while none of us wanted it to be this way, we have all been in this together, doing our best to adapt and to continue to learn and grow. We are so proud of what you have accomplished during this challenging year and we are excited for you as you embark on the next phase of your life. We wish you all the best in these new adventures and encourage you to stay in touch.

Keep in Touch
