In alternating first-person narratives,
Shooting Ghosts documents the things O’Reilly and co-author Thomas Brennan saw and did.
O’Reilly describes how he and his co-author were affected by war, and how they navigated the psychological aftershocks and wrestled with reforming their own identities and moral centres.
Listen to his talk at the Journalism School, set against the backdrop of his haunting photos of war.
