From the classroom right into the newsroom
Following graduation, Kenyon Wallace was a 2008 recipient of CBC’s Joan Donaldson Scholarship, which included an internship at CBC Ottawa and CBC Toronto for four months. He then started at the Toronto Star as a one-year intern, during which time he was nominated for a National Newspaper Award in the Breaking News category. After a year and a half at the National Post, he returned to the Toronto Star. In 2012, he was a member of a team that won a National Newspaper Award in the Long Features category, and in 2013, he was a member of a reporting team that won the 2013 Michener Award for coverage of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford.
