Jennifer Prescott

Biography

Jennifer was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and immigrated to Gatineau, Quebec, in 2014. When she was granted permanent resident status two years later, she enrolled in Carleton University’s Bachelor of Journalism program, minoring in Women’s and Gender Studies. Between her second and third year, she interned at the House of Commons where she created press releases, speeches and campaign material for a member of parliament.

In 2021, Jennifer graduated with High Distinction from Carleton. She has since worked as a freelance content creator, a social media manager, and an editorial assistant and staff writer for a national dementia advocacy magazine.

Jennifer is deeply passionate about truth, social justice and equality. In her spare time, she fancies doing home renovations, attending stand-up comedy and concert events, watching basketball and bouncing from one creative hobby to the next.
