Biography
Anna is a Saint Petersburg State University graduate with a Master’s in Cell Biology. For 10 years, she has enjoyed a successful reproductive medicine career as a clinical embryologist in Russia and Canada.
She understands the necessity for improved reproductive science communication among all stakeholders. She is determined to expand beyond embryology to be involved in the communication, advocacy, law, and policymaking in this field.
Anna’s particular interests include ethical and legal issues concerning the involvement of third party procreation, how could it redefine the family and what effect will it have on parenting. Her future may include policy writing for the human assisted reproduction, such as regulation for oocyte donation procedures or surrogacy assistance. She could promote evidence based healthcare information to improve treatment availability within communities and among specialists.
When not studying or working, Anna enjoys spending time with her family, travelling and figure skating.
