Ben Barak

Biography

Ben Barak grew up in Thornhill, Ontario and graduated with a BA in English Literature and Creative Writing from Western University in 2016.

After he graduated, Ben spent one year backpacking and working in Australia and New Zealand. He hiked, surfed and road-tripped thousands of kilometres through both countries, ingraining within him a strong passion for travel, learning and writing about people and the world.

As of now, Ben is interested in print Journalism and writing about cultures globally, and is confident that the MJ program will expand not only on his interests, but also on the vast array of styles and opportunities that the journalistic field has to offer. Aside from writing, Ben is an avid musician and songwriter, and has been recording and producing his own music for many years.
