Kiyanaw Bird

Biography

Kiyanaw is a recent graduate of the Certificate in Journalism in Indigenous Communities (CJIIC) program. In 2024, he also graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Canadian Studies. Within the four years of being at Carleton, he has developed a background in communications, social media, amateur short films, and a passion for creativity. He also held an internship with CBC Radio where he was able to put his skills into practice.

As an aspiring Journalist and practicing digital artist, Kiyanaw is excited to learn from professionals within the Journalism field and how to use creativity and film to educate.
