Ryan Clark

Biography

Ryan is originally from Nanaimo, British Columbia, and now lives in Ottawa. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Journalism in 2025, and is now going into the MJ program!

During his time in the BJ program, Ryan wrote often for Capital Current and The Charlatan, even serving as the op-ed and blog editor of the latter. He also did internships with The Hockey News and The National Post, helping with fact-checking and reporting.

Ryan loves covering a variety of topics in his reporting and writing, whether that be baseball, Canadian politics, music, or transit. He is taking the MJ program to gain even more experience in journalism, as he felt that he was just scratching the surface in the BJ program. In his time away from writing, Ryan enjoys bowling, watching baseball and listening to West Coast indie folk music.
