Kassina Davidson

Honours diploma, Print and broadcast Journalism, Humber College

Kassina has spent the past eight years covering the Northwest Territories and Nunavut, writing about everything from Indigenous government policy and the residential school system to Inuit legends and the Northwest Passage.

Her travels have brought her as far north as the Eureka Weather Station on Ellesmere Island and her work can be found in Up Here magazine, Arctic Deeply and Northern News Services newspapers. She has also covered the Perth, Ontario area for the Ottawa Citizen, the Perth Courier and Lake 88 radio.

Since 2012, Kassina has received eight Saskatchewan Weekly Newspaper Association (SWNA) awards for stories published in NWT News/North.

She is very much looking forward to completing her Master’s thesis on Inuktitut.
