Nathalie Hewa Dewage

Biography

After leaving her native Sri Lanka at a young age, Nathalie grew up in Dubai, and later moved to Canada to attend the University of Alberta. While earning her BA in English and Psychology, she worked as editor for her campus newspaper, a research assistant with a focus on post-colonial and diasporic literature, and a co-chair of the Diversity Working Group, a student run organization that advocated for the rights of minority students on campus.

Currently living in Vancouver, Nathalie is excited to move to the other side of Canada, although the thought of bagged milk terrifies her. She enjoys reading, baking bread and long walks on sunny days.
