Anson Hunt

Biography

Anson Hunt holds a BA in Media Information and Technoculture and Political Science and an MA in Media Studies from Western University. His Major Research Project, “Modernist Chefs at Work: Position-Taking in the Gastronomic Field” explored Michelin Star chefs’ attempts to position themselves as “rulebreakers” within the strict hierarchical field of elite fine dining. At the doctoral level, his research interests revolve around critical perspectives of alternative food systems and the potential roles of chefs and restaurants in the production and reception of food information.
