B.A. and Master of Arts (English), University of Saskatchewan
Lisa completed an M.A. in English at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, where her obsession with the smell of ink and a freshly cracked book spine led her to work in book publishing. As a freelance reporter, she enjoyed covering everything from city council debates over the zoning allowances of strippers to tax abatements for inner city grocery stores. Appearances on local community helped her to finally accept what her voice sounds like to everybody else, and inspired her to learn more about broadcasting and digital media platforms. She looks forward to experiencing the local colour in Ottawa – especially the Tulip Festival.
