Biography
Rhiannon Johnson is a Michisaagiig journalist who grew up in Hiawatha First Nation in southern Ontario. She is a producer for CBC’s Unreserved, which is the radio space for Indigenous community, culture, and conversation.
She has worked with CBC since 2017 and was a reporter for the Indigenous unit for five years covering First Nations, Inuit and Métis stories in Ontario.
Rhiannon has also taught at Toronto Metropolitan University as a contract lecturer in the School of Journalism.
Her passion for journalism is rooted in elevating First Nations, Inuit and Métis voices through the dynamic medium of audio storytelling.
