Karen Keskinen has been a communications, PR and Marketing professional for Canada’s Top 10 consumer products for more than twenty-five years. Her roles included community manager, corporate social responsibility director, media relations, brand manager and crisis / media coach for senior executives in Canada’s most competitive industries: beer, pharma, banking and Telecom as a thought leader and an independent senior consultant.
She has coached and advised business marketing teams and community services over her career, been a keynote speaker, and awarded for her approach to building engagement and branding.
She now works in the Canadian Film and Digital Content industry partnering major brands and causes with digital storytelling to generate solutions for brands using entertainment as the tool to build engagement. Branded Content and the interactivity of online entertainment is her current exciting great challenge, serving Global brands, online broadcasters and meeting the needs of viewers interacting with causes and brands.
Karen has served on the Board of the International Association of Business Communicators and as Chairperson of a Regional Charitable Organization.
She currently enjoys the variety as a practicing communications consultant and coach in media relations and cause marketing leadership, is Director of Business Development in Film and TV and teaches strategic communications at the School of Journalism and Communication.
