Biography

Bennett Mitchell (he/him) graduated from the University of Toronto in 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and a minor in Canadian Studies. He was honoured with The Harry Morris Coyle Memorial Scholarship for his exceptional achievements in the study of Canadian Literature. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Communications with a specialization in Data Science at Carleton University.

Bennett’s research interests lie in the federal regulation of both digital and traditional communication mediums. Federal regulations were a key focus of his undergraduate work, including a paper on Canadian border regulations and their impact on the Haudenosaunee Nationals lacrosse team which was selected for publication in the imagiNATIONS Canadian Studies Journal. Bennett looks forward to applying a quantitative approach to enhance the understanding of Canada’s evolving content regulations. When he is not studying Bennett can often be found pursuing his passion for film photography, through which he enjoys capturing often overlooked architectural features.
