Paula Newton, an anchor and correspondent with CNN based in Canada, has been with CNN since 2005 and previously had a 12-year career with CTV News. A seasoned conflict and political reporter, Newton worked as CNN’s international security correspondent from 2005 to 2010, reporting from throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa, including Chechnya, the Balkans, Afghanistan and Yemen. She is an Emmy-nominated journalist and a two-time Gemini and New York Festival Award winner.
