Anna-Lena Theus

PhD Student

Anna-Lena Theus holds a Master of Arts in Human-Computer Interaction from Carleton University. Her research interests focus on social implications of artificial intelligence and human-computer interaction, as well as on user-centred approaches for smart city technology design. Anna’s goal is to initiate a shift from the current technology-driven approach of smart city development, which is primarily guided by the possibilities of IoT devices, cloud computing, and big data analytics, towards a resident-focused approach, that prioritizes individuals’ perceptions and privacy.
